Jericho Hour Prayer Ministry Outreach Initiatives
Jericho Hour Prayer Ministry works diligently and faithfully to ensure that those in need are never forgotten. With a deep commitment to compassion and service, we prioritize the care of individuals and families who are facing hardship. Four times a year, large donations are made to various communities, delivering essential items such as food items like rice and oil. These quarterly efforts are organized with care, aiming to relieve burdens and bring hope to those experiencing difficulty
In addition to these seasonal donations, the ministry continues its outreach throughout the year by sending clothing, shoes, and household items to widows and orphans. These ongoing efforts reflect the ministry’s mission to provide not just temporary relief but consistent support and dignity to the vulnerable. Every act of giving is rooted in love, demonstrating a commitment to uplifting others and fulfilling a calling to serve.
Jericho Hour Prayer Ministry is currently in the exciting and prayerful process of building a new orphanage and retreat center, which will also include a sanctuary. This visionary project reflects the heart of the ministry: to provide a place of refuge, healing, and purpose for the most vulnerable members of our communities.
Once completed, this facility will serve as a safe and loving home for orphans, offering not just shelter, but care including education, nourishment, spiritual guidance, and emotional support. In addition to serving children, the center will also employ widows, giving them meaningful work, a stable income, and a renewed sense of purpose. Through this dual mission, the ministry aims to restore dignity and hope to those society often overlooks.
The sanctuary within the center will be a sacred space for worship, reflection, and healing. This will be a place where both residents and visitors can experience the presence of God and find peace. The retreat center will welcome those in need of rest, restoration, and spiritual renewal, creating opportunities for ministry, discipleship, and community engagement.
Below is the plan:
Orphanage: A nurturing residential space for children in need of care, complete with bedrooms, study areas, and play spaces.
Widow Employment Program: Job training and employment in caregiving, administration, kitchen service, and facility maintenance.
Sanctuary: A house of worship and prayer at the heart of the facility, open to all for services, counseling, and spiritual growth.
Retreat Center: A welcoming space for retreats, conferences, and personal renewal, supporting the wider mission of the ministry.
Educational Support: Onsite tutoring, literacy programs, and school partnerships to ensure every child receives a quality education.
This project is more than a building, it is a beacon of hope. Through faith, service, and the generosity of partners and supporters, the ministry is laying the foundation for lasting transformation in the lives of orphans, widows, and all who come through its doors.
